KRION K-LIFE

Cutting-Edge Product for Real Life

Even before the developments of our current health climate, we had been receiving requests for solid surfaces that were, not only easy to maintain, but that offered health benefits by way of antibacterial and chemically-neutralizing properties.

As you may know, KRION™ is a new generation solid surface we offer in our suite of products from Porcelanosa. It is a material that is warm to the touch and similar to natural stone. Made of two-thirds natural minerals, and a low percentage of high-resistance resins, it is poreless, anti-bacterial, hard wearing, and easy to repair, requiring minimum maintenance.

The introduction of KRION K·Life takes these elements a step further by offering an innovative solution that meets professionals’ needs while improving the lives of people in a safer, healthier and more sustainable world.

Key Benefits Include...

  • Air Purification
  • Easy Cleaning & Maintenance
  • Antibacterial
  • Ability to Remove Chemical Substances

AIR PURIFICATION

ANTIBACTERIAL

ABILITY TO ELIMINATE CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES

How does KLife achieve these benefits?

KRIONTM K-Life employs a patented technology called KEAST: Krion Eco Active Solid Technology

Derived from earlier studies on how certain minerals react to sunlight, our KEAST technology is based on the principles of photocatalysis.

What is photocatalysis?

Photocatalysis occurs when light hits the surface of certain minerals like titanium oxide, causing it to come into contact with the humidity and oxygen in the environment. From this mixture, molecules (hydroxyl radicals) which have the ability to join to other contaminating particles in the environment, produce complex molecules that are not harmful to humans.

Inspired by Nature

This natural chemical reaction is how Krion K-Life works to actively purify the air and keep its surfaces free of harmful agents. A beautiful example of innovative technology inspired by nature.

Limitless Design Options

Krion is cut similarly to wood, allowing us to cut the sheets, connect them, and thermoform them to create curved sections, and can even be injected during the production process, making it possible to create different designs and projects that are impossible to achieve with other materials.

It is also an ecological material, as it is 100% recyclable. All products made of Krion™ can be reprocessed and reused in the production cycle.

Krion K-Life Application

  • Doctor’s Offices
  • Clinics
